PRIME: Learning Labs

PRIME developed and facilitated three Learning Labs. PRIME worked with consultants to develop the learning labs to assist staff members in responding to a key question: What can I do from my desk, my office, my job and my organization to change social determinants of health equity as they affect the people in the programs in which I work?

Health Equity Learning Labs Pilot Series – WIC Division

This version of the Learning Labs was developed in partnership with the Center for Health Equity for Mothers and Children at the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health. It focuses on developing strategies to transform agencies so that every institutional action promotes – and never inhibits – the attainment of health equity for every individual they serve.

Health Equity Learning Labs for Non-Management & Management Staff – CSHCS Division

This second iteration of the Learning Lab series was developed in partnership with the Michigan Public Health Institute and Ingham County Health Department. Separate trainings were provided for non-management and management staff.
